The mission of Place des aînés is to welcome people aged 50 or more in a friendly place where they can achieve self-development, commitment and belonging to the group through a diversified and innovative program.
Activities offered: fitness, board games, visuel arts, performing arts, writing, languages, computing, team sports and outings.

Table régionale de concertation des aînés de Laval

The corporation was established for social purposes with the overall objectives to:
• bring together seniors associations of the Laval region ; • the stimulation of seniors environment to help them maximize their role as citizens; ; • the establishment of a reference point for all the departments and organizations in case of a regional consultation; • the representation of seniors among some organizations; • the improvement of seniors living conditions.

Laval's Maison des grands-parents

The objective of Laval's Maison des grands-parents is to facilitate the development of intergeneration relations.
Services offered are: matchmaking of seniors-chlidren-teenagers, craft projects, reading in elementary schools, creation, exhibition and presentation of cultural projects, participation to block parties and much more!

Seniors' University
|
Laval residents age 50 and over can take part in the activities of the Université du troisième âge (UTA) of Université de Sherbrooke. Thanks to the initiative of the Comité d’animation du troisième âge de Laval (CATAL) and Le Sélection de Laval complex, the members of this generation will be able to continue learning for fun! The educational activities involve no homework or exams, and no previous diplomas are required.

Semaine lavalloise des aînés
|
The main objective of the Semaine lavalloise des aînés (Laval Seniors' Week), which takes place every year in mid-October, is to highlight the seniors' role and contribution to the Laval community by organizing numerous activities in their honour throughout the City.

To make life easier for you at home !

Are you familiar with the HASI program (Home Adaptations for Seniors' Independence)? It grants financial assistance of up to $3,500 to low-income seniors age 65 and over who need to make minor adaptations to their home or dwelling so that they can continue to live there autonomously and safely. Administered by the Société d'habitation du Québec, the HASI program allows seniors to make such changes as installing a handrail along a staircase or switches in practical locations.
Program administration The program is administered by the Société d’habitation du Québec. It is delivered at the local level by:
• regional county municipalities; • municipalities.
