Low-Flow Toilet Rebate Program
In order to cut down on inappropriate use of drinking water, Ville de Laval set up a program to subsidize and encourage the replacement of regular-flow toilets with low-flush ones (Programme de subventions pour favoriser le remplacement de toilettes à débit régulier par des toilettes à faible débit).
The City is offering residents a rebate ranging from $60 to $75 for the replacement of an old toilet by a low-flush toilet (6-litre). The objective of the program is to replace more than 3,000 toilets.
 $60 will be given for the replacement of a standard toilet (more than 6 litres) by a low-flow toilet (6-litre). - $75 will be given for the replacement of a standard toilet (more than 6 litres) by a 3-litre/6-litre dual-flush toilet and/or by a HET model (High-Efficiency Toilet).

IMPORTANT
Please note that the grant will continue in 2010. To get the grant, you must have bought and installed your water efficient toilet in 2010.
